I grew up in the Mountain State of West Virginia, and have always been drawn to the mountains. My wife, Amanda, and I moved to Asheville in early 2013. We are attracted to the spirit of the people here, as well as the natural beauty of the area. We’ve found Western North Carolina to be a perfect setting for raising our two daughters, Maya and Brooklyn. As a family, we enjoy hiking, taking advantage of the numerous parks in the area, hanging out on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, fishing, and attending our girls’ softball games, volleyball matches, and dance recitals.

After spending 16 years in higher education, I decided it was time to make a positive impact on people’s lives in a different way. While at NC State University, Texas Tech University, and Western Carolina University, I was able to not only help students reach their goals, but work with government agencies, nonprofits, and other researchers to solve complex public affairs and policy problems. From 2015–2019, I served as Director of the Master of Public Affairs Program at WCU. This position allowed me to collaborate with many important stakeholders in local governments throughout Western North Carolina with whom home buyers and sellers interact during their real estate transactions. This experience places me in a unique position to help clients navigate the transaction process while addressing any conceivable issues that may arise along the way. In those times, it helps to know who to call. Through my experiences, I have woven a vast network of colleagues and friends who know how to get things done right and in a timely fashion.
